Sony Entertainment Television’s Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi has been a popular show, thanks to the sizzling chemistry between Dev (Shaheer Sheikh) and Sonakshi (Erica Fernandes). The popular daily soap is all set to go off-air and this news triggered the fans. As we reported earlier, there have been chants of ‘Don’t End KRPKAB’ and over 5000 fans signed a petition to save the show.

It has been already confirmed that the show is going off-air. And the question is why? Sources close to Sony TV revealed to us that the falling TRP rating is the reason why they decided to axe Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi for Beyhadh. Shaheer and Erica’s show TRP surprisingly dropped to 0.4 and it’s been two weeks since the TRP is stable with 0.4 rating, which is awful.

While on other hand, Beyhadh TRP increased to 0.6 from 0.5. The producers of Beyhadh assured the channel that the twists and turns in the upcoming episodes will maintain the show’s ratings. Whereas Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi story is now slow and there is less chance of recovery. The TRP matters a lot these days as the advertisers are expecting certain impressions which the show is not able to produce anymore. Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi does enjoy a huge popularity on YouTube but even Beyhadh episodes have same or even more views. It is worth noting that the revenue from seveal YouTube and Sony LIV episodes are not enough to even run the show for 5 minutes.

Producer Yash Patnaik confirmed the reports to a media portal, “I wish more fans had watched it on the channel, rather than on YouTube. The TRP ratings were falling. With a 0.4 rating, what can you expect? The channel had to take a call. The lower the ratings, the lesser the advertising revenue generated for the channel.”
