As we confirmed earlier, Sony TV has no plan to pull the plug from Pehredar Piya Ki as the show enjoys immense popularity. While BCCC asked Sony TV to shift the show to the 10PM slot and run the show with a scroll that it doesn’t promote child marriage, the channel had been in a problem.
Sony TV has reportedly agreed to the terms and they have a new plan to keep the show on-air. Pehredar Piya Ki will now take 10 PM time slot from 22nd August 2017. The show will air right after KBC and there’s no word on Sony TV’s Beyhadh faith which has got an extension of one month.
“As per the decision of BCCC we are shifting the time slot of Pehredaar Piya Ki to 10 pm. The change will reflect from August 22 onwards,” Sony TV said in an official statement. And we hear that the show’s story will also witness a change.
The makers have decided to introduce a leap of 12 years that will cut of the “child marriage” controversy. We are hearing that the boy will become 21 years old while the woman would become 30 after the leap.
